Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.

Plantation is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Plantation is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. They definitely don’t deserve not even one star they overcharged me $5300 to fix my transmission kept my truck for three weeks and not even a month later the transmission was leaking fluid all over and failed again. I asked them to call me when they were gonna take it apart cause I would like to see everything they told me they would not only did they not call me, but they went ahead and did the work without my approval And charged me another $2000 kept my vehicle hostage and made me pay them in cash. The owner of The Shop doesn’t know anything about transmissions or anything automotive related. They have one Mechanic there that barely seems to know what he’s doing. They failed to replace a seal on the transmission, which caused it to leak and fail I had to pay for a rental car. This was my work truck for my business. I feel really taken advantage of writing this review in hopes that somebody else will not get taken advantage of like this, they don’t have any certified technicians or qualified mechanics be ware this place is a bad shop and should be closed down

Really and truly they don’t deserve 1 star! No accountability for their misdiagnosis of my vehicle. After spending money on repairs, I was later informed by another automotive specialist that the issue was not properly fixed in the first place. Instead of taking responsibility for the incorrect diagnosis and repair, they wanted me to spend even more money to address a problem they failed to identify. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I believe consumers should be aware. The lack of accountability, transparency, and concern for customer satisfaction was extremely disappointing. I truly dislike doing business with vendors who are unwilling to stand behind their work. I would not recommend this shop. Save yourself the frustration and get a second opinion before authorizing repairs.

I brought my 2008 Honda Ridgeline to Downtown Transmission because it was having shifting and power-loss issues, and I wanted a proper diagnosis of the root cause. After inspecting the vehicle, I was told the problem was related to the transmission and was recommended repairs that ended up costing me a significant amount of money. Unfortunately, after the repairs were completed, the original issue was still present. As I continued troubleshooting the vehicle, it became apparent that the problem may have been related to components such as the wiring harness, shift linkage adjustment, or transmission control system rather than the major transmission issue I was originally told it had. What frustrates me most is that I relied on the shop’s expertise to accurately diagnose the problem before recommending expensive repairs. Instead, I paid a substantial amount of money and was left with the same symptoms that brought me to the shop in the first place. I understand that diagnosing transmission-related issues can be complex, but customers deserve a thorough diagnosis and clear communication before costly repairs are performed. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend getting a seco

I'm in charge of the fleet at my job and Downtown Transmissions has been an AMAZING asset to helping keep my trucks in tip-top shape! DT is able to take on my giant box trucks when nobody else has the means. They have been able to help with several major problems including diagnosing a truck issue that was stumping everyone else. Always fast and efficient when I call in to ask for service, I highly recommend Downtown Transmissions!
